8/3/2023 0 Comments Nikon capture nx d 2![]() Nikon software for editing sucks View NX-I is really good at rating/cherry picking the keepers to send into LR If I had the spare cash I'd probably buy Lightroom. I go between CaptureNX-D and Photoshop depending on the task and my mood. I've never installed ViewNX-i since Capture is free now.but Capture is buggy as hell and the interface is a bit rough around the edges. ![]() CaptureNX-D and ViewNX-i were released as replacements, developed by Silkypix. But do not support files from cameras newer than.I want to say around 2012?Īfter Google bought up Nik software, Nikon had to find a new developer. Both pieces of software were developed by Nik software using their control point technology and were excellent. ViewNX was bundled but still capable of developing RAW. CaptureNX was much more powerful for editing but came at a price. Nikon CaptureNX2 and ViewNX2 was Nikon's developer/file manger software suite. But I haven't updated since.wouldn't be surprised if they'd decided to retire it. ![]() It continues to work for me on CS 6 I had to do this to open RAWs from a J5 recently about a year ago. If you download the Adobe Camera RAW updates I think you should be able to simply import the RAWs from your Nikon camera into Photoshop directly via ACR? Best if I can convert to DNG so I can use with my PS CS4. What i am looking for is a lightroom equivalent. So what are all these Nikon software? ViewNX-i, ViewNX 2, Capture NX-D, and Capture NX 2? ![]()
